FINALLY!! Our December 2010!

So here it is! Our December 2010.

Layout Reads:

December was a great month! The first half of the month was spent counting down the days until Christmas and baking cookies! There was a lunar eclipse and we stayed up really late to see it, because they said another one wouldn’t happen for another 100 years! We visited Santa. Haylie acted like she was completely star struck and Hunter didn’t really want to have anything to do with him. We built our annual gingerbread house, and then the kids demolished it that night. Santa came to visit Haylie and Hunter in Texas a day early, so that way we could make our trip to Little Rock and Maryville on Christmas Day! So on Christmas we headed the 10 hour trip to Little Rock to spend the weekend with Michael’s parents and have Christmas with them. The kids got lots of great gifts and got to play with their cousin Peyton! After our Little Rock Christmas we headed to Maryville for the week for Christmas with Christie’s family! It had been a while since we’d seen them and it was so good to catch up with everyone and for the kids to spend time with their Grammie, Grampy, Aunts, and Uncle! Haylie got to have an early Birthday party there. And Christie and Michael celebrated 5 years of Marriage! Here’s too an awesome 2010 and to hopefully an even greater 2011!

Now time to go start on January 2011's layout! :)

Still working on it...

Here's our November. Only one more month to catch up on and then I
m done with 2010! :)

Layout Reads:

November 2010:
November was pretty uneventful. We spent a lot of time at home wishing it was December, so Christmas could come already! We put up our Christmas tree and all our Christmas decorations the week before Thanksgiving. We figured since we would be out of town for Thanksgiving and the week after Christmas, it would be nice to enjoy the decorations a little earlier. We took some time this month to try for the perfect Christmas card photo! I think we got it! And we also spent sometime trying out the best cookie recipes so that Santa would be extra lucky at our house this year! We were thinking that we would just do Thanksgiving at home with the four of us, since our nearest family was 10 hours away. But we changed our minds at the beginning of the month. We decided to have Thanksgiving at Michael’s parents house. And we’re so glad we changed our minds. The great grandparents all came in for Thanksgiving too! It was so nice to have everyone together. And the kids got to see their PawPaw Jerry and Nanny Brenda, and Great Grandma Taylor for the second time in their lives. We only wish we had gotten pictures! Still can’t believe that we didn’t!

We're Still Alive...

So...I'm a pretty bad blogger. And I have totally neglected this blog AND doing our monthly pages for 2010. But I'm trying to get caught up! So here's two more months for ya!
Layout says:
September 2010:
Most of our September was spent exploring the town and area around us. We took many walks around Mertzon. Most of those walks ended us up at the school playground so the kids could slide! We also visited the International Water Lilly Garden, it was in full bloom this month! We did lots of geocaching too! Christie’s point and shoot camera broke this month, thanks to Hunter throwing it on the ground, So Michael surprised her by bringing home her dream DSLR Camera. We tried to adopt a new dog also, but he kept climbing over the 6ft privacy fence, so we couldn’t keep him. This month, “Big Red” (the little red car Michael bought) officially bit the dust.
Good thing Michael can carpool with Ethan to work! And yay for cooler weather!

October 2010:
October was crazy fun! We started the month out with a trip to Little Rock! Michael’s sister married her fiance, Jeff; and they became a sweet family of three! While in Little rock we got to visit the zoo! One of our favorite things to Do! The kids had fun while in little rock, and got to spend time with Memaw, pawpaw and their cousin Peyton! Aunt Candice had fall break this month from college and she visited us for a few days. The kids adore their aunt candice and
had a great time hanging all over her and showing her “the sights” of west Texas. We’re lucky that every October that Christie’s grandparents come in to visit around her birthday! They got to stay for a week, and we got to spend lots of time catching up! Christie Turned 27 this month! We took the kids to the pumpkin patch in San Angelo for the first time. They really enjoyed seeing all the different sizes, shapes, and colors of the pumpkins. Grammie Made Haylie’s Cat costume and Hunter just had to be a cowboy! Haylie told Christie she had to be a witch and Michael decided to match hunter We went trick or treating at church!

Getting Caught Up

So, I got a little behind...Here's us all caught up now! :)

Our August:
(layout created using kit Feelin' Shabby by Scraps by Andrea)

Layout Reads:
Michael began the first week of August away on business about 5 hours from home. So towards the end of that week Christie, the kids, and the dog met him where he was working and we started on our vacation! We spent Saturday and Sunday with Michael’s parents, and then Monday-Friday with Christie’s parents in Tennessee. While in Tennessee we got to see Christie’s two sisters too! We got them to go geocaching with us while we were there too! We also got to visit the Great Smoky Mountains, and then took a trip to Gatlinburg to visit the aquarium and walk around the beautiful town! Once we got back to San Angelo we started moving into our new rent house in Mertzon! We just moved a little bit at a time, so we have half our stuff at the house and half at the apartment, but it’s so nice to have a little extra space! The rest of the August was spent moving things, getting adjusted, and playing outside.

And Our July:
(layout created using kit Granny's Sweet Tea by Scraps of Ellay)

Layout Reads:
These months are just flying by now! We are now more than halfway through the year 2010! That’s hard to believe! Our July was a little calmer than most of our previous months! This month we stayed home and Michael didn’t even have to travel for work this month! We took a trip to the Abilene zoo; it’s only about an hour drive. We love visiting zoos! We spent the 4th just being lazy around the house and then going out to the local fireworks show! The kids got to wear super cute shirts from their Memaw and Pawpaw, and got decked out in their glowing bracelets for the firework show. They loved the fireworks! We spent a lot of time swimming at the apartment pool. We also started a new family hobby! It’s called Geocaching…and we all LOVE it! Michael turned the big 2-4 this month! Only one more year until we get a discount on our auto insurance now! At the end of the month, Michael’s parents came to visit! Haylie and Hunter loved seeing and spending time with their Memaw and Pawpaw! And Michael and Christie enjoyed a little alone time together (finally)!
